Conversely, the Survivor is hyper-vigilant, viewing life as a battlefield and constantly scanning for threats. While this ensures safety, constant suspicion can alienate others and kill joy. The author concludes that perception creates destiny. The ideal goal is a "middle path": using the Survivor's wisdom for protection while keeping the Optimist's heart to enjoy life
